Instruction / Classroom Management

The STEP process was used to prepare and implement an engaging unit that met the needs of all the students in the classroom. The full STEP Template can be viewed here:

STEP Standard 1 focused on researching demographics that could affect the lesson and how I teach it.

STEP Standard 2 was used to decide what unit I would teach based on the Nevada State Academic Content Standards. I created Learning Intentions and Success Criteria based on these standards.

STEP Standards 3-5 were spent giving a pre-assessment, creating a unit plan based on that data, and implementing the unit.

STEP Standard 6 analyzed student data of the summative assessment.

STEP Standard 7 focused on creating short- and long-term goals to continue making a positive impact on student learning.
