I Live Alone

This series highlights the idea of having to become independent through living alone. I cannot rely on others anymore and that shows through the technique of the photos. Using a 4x5 view camera, I used a shutter release cable in order to take the shots. This translates into my life where now I have to do everything on my own. Another aspect of this project is celebrating the fact that I do live alone. I can do anything I want in my space. While this space is tiny, I make the most of it. No one can stop me from going into my fridge or sitting on my dining room table. Since my space is small, I want the viewer to feel that mixture of outer claustrophobia but inner freeness. I live alone and that can be both good and bad.
