Torch

Torch is a seasonal magazine that highlights LGBTQ+ Olympics athletes. Each issue focuses on three specific sports along with news on the torch relay, the upcoming Games, and larger LGBTQ+ issues. Torch uses a mixture of modern and archival photography of queer athletes and accepts its queer nature by using bright pastels in place of the vibrant rainbow used in LGBTQ+ media. The torch relay signifies the beginning of the Games. It brings pride to the host country as they give space to a wide range of athletes and sports. Torch Magazine carries this same excitement through each issue as it works to increase the representation seen in athletics.
